Ryan
I met Ryan Mahoney three or so years ago when we did a story on him because he was a make a wish kid after a few more stories we lost touch when the reporter I was working with left the paper. Yesterday I found out that Ryan lost his battle with cancer and passed away two days ago, in the short time I knew him he was a bright and energetic kid with a bit of a mischievous side.
I wish I had gotten to know him better.

VB
I haven't been posting much lately life has gotten away from me again and, of course, I have been pretty much shooting like poop for the past couple of weeks. But here is something graphic from yesterdays volleyball match that I kind of liked...

Beer
I like beer and so does this guy.
I tried to do something interesting with the lighting and failed to come up with something creative but for some reason I think the straight forward approach works fine.

Hail
I have not been in a hail storm since I was a kid. This one happened while the wife and I were at my parents house, something told me to take my camera out of the car when we got there but I didn't so I had to settle for the aftermath.

Had the chance to go to the local Penn State Ag Extension office back in June to take a look at some the the bees that they have been finding around their test sites after they stopped using pesticides that nuke everything...

Shot through a microscope of course...

Off to war
A portrait of some local soldiers home after basic training and leaving for Iraq in the next six months. I know a outlet mall is a strange place for a portrait, they were suppose to be recruiting while they were home on leave but every time we went to catch up with them something happen, so I had to settle.

Steve's Shoes
Ok, so this is weird I know, but there is a reporter here at the paper who I go on a lot of assignments with and he has an interesting choice in foot apparel. Well it started with one frame and just snowballed from there.
So here it is the first edition of Steve's Shoes.
